T-Mobile announced today that the promised Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Galaxy S II will start rolling out at 11PM EST or 8PM PDT. It will not come in the form of an over-the-air update. Instead, you will have to do it via Samsung Kies with the help ofa microUSB cable to download it.
Once that’s done, your Galaxy S II will be running on Android 4.0.3 which isn’t the latest ICS build but we think that is better than nothing. In less than three hours, make sure your phone has at least 50% of battery life and most importantly, have Kies installed on your PC or MAC. Hit the source for instructions.
