Google Wallet now officially available on the Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus running on AT&T

Google Wallet, the NFC-based payment system, is now officially available for the AT&T Nexus S and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus running on AT&T’s network. Google Wallet has been around for many months now, but up until today, has only been officially supported in the U.S. via Sprint and its Nexus S 4G.

If you’re an AT&T Nexus S owner, or own an unlocked GSM Galaxy Nexus that you’re currently running on AT&T, you can now officially download Google Wallet directly from the Android Market. You won’t need to do any special hackery magic to get things working; simply download, configure, get $10, start impressing cashiers all over the place.

As far for Verizon customers, you’re still out of luck for an official version of the app from the Android Market. Don’t worry though, there is an apk that’s currently available that gets things working on the Verizon Galaxy Nexus.
