Google Play Newsstand gets updated with new look, better reading experience

I must be honest. I rarely use The Google Play Newsstand app. However, I think today’s update has changed mind. If you like to stay up-to-date with the latest news from your favorite media outlets or subjects, this app would do just that and then more.

Launched over a year ago, the Newsstand application is still new to the Google bouquet of offerings. Today, it received a pretty significant update. The folks at the Android Blog mention that the new look with bigger images, headers and smooth transition was achieved using Material Design. You’ll have to launch the app in order to see what they mean. It really looks beautiful and runs smooth.
