Google is looking to change the way you buy a smartphone with the Motorola X

All the major Android OEMs have announced their flagship devices and yes they’re all powerful and amazing except for one little, but interesting detail, you’ll pay for a finished product and get features that everyone else will get without having the choice to modify it.

Have you ever ordered a PC or a laptop directly from Dell or HP? Didn’t you like the ability to build your machine exactly the way you wanted it? Well, you may be able to do the same in the near feature thanks to Google and their upcoming slew of devices including the Motorola X or X phone.

The X which was previously leaked by Tinhte in the form of a hands on video, was kind of Okay when it comes to specs. It is said to pack Qulacomm’s S4 processor, 2GB of RAM, 4-inch 720p display and a 2200 mAh battery–not bad.

Google’s goal is reach all types of customers out there no matter what their ‘geeky’ needs are. If this rumor happens to be true, the average consumer will opt for a decent Android phone based on price. However, if you’re a phone geek, you’d probably have to get your wallet ready for an ‘Alienware-like’ phone (I am drooling just thinking about it). What do you guys think?
