Google is handing out Google Fi instant invites for 24 hours

Because today is Nexus 5X ship day, Google is now giving out instant Project Fi invites to everyone. This offer will be good for the next 24 hours. If you haven’t gotten invited yet, this is your chance to try out Google’s new service which use both Sprint and T-Mobile services along with WiFi.

Project Fi is Google’s attempt to take on US carriers with affordable call/data packages without the need of a contract. Plans starts at $30 ($20 for unlimited talk/text + $10 for 1GB of data). Here is how Google describes it:

1- Set your data amount. Let’s say you go with 3 GB
2- At the beginning of the month
You’re charged $30 upfront for your monthly data.
3- During the month, use as much or as little data as you want. If you get close to 3 GB of usage, you’ll get an alert.
4- At the end of the month, we run the numbers: If you end up using only 2.8 GB, that’s 0.2 GB unused and $2 back on your statement.

Pretty neat, right? Let’s not forget to mention that you can get the Nexus 5X (16GB) for $15.79 a month if you sign up (or use) for the service.
