Gmail for Android updated to v2.3.5, adds Label Ringtones and Sync Priority Mail Only

Google just released a new update the Gmail Android application today bumping the previous version to v2.3.5. This update includes a new and cool feature which I am going to use “big time”, it is called “sync priority mail only.” What it does is that it filters our all the unwanted and less-important emails and only shows the ones that are relevant to you while saving your battery life. Another cool feature is “Label Ringtones,” this one lets you add custom sounds to any on the labels in your inbox.

Check out the full changelog of the v2.3.5 update:

  • Save bandwidth and battery by only syncing priority mail
  •  Use label notifications to mash up filters, labels, and ringtones
  • Remember ‘Show Pictures’ for senders
  • Turn off sticky message actions in landscape or all orientations
  • Better TalkBalk support for accessibility
  • Performance improvements
