Have your eyes on the Wi-Fi Motorola Xoom? You will be happy to know that Costco now has it on sale for $499. The marked down price includes a free gel case, which usually costs $20. A $100 saving on the Xoom is a lot of money, even though its priced higher than similar Honeycomb tablets that are currently available. Based on the pricing of the Xoom at Costco ($499.97) and the price tag, some additional information can be obtained.
For one, the 97 cents means that that is a company-wide markdown, so pretty much all Costco stores that you go to will have the same price. The little asterisk on the top-right corner of the price tag indicates that this item will no longer be restocked once it’s out of stock, so once Costo’s inventory of the WiFi Xoom is gone, that’s it, they’re done with it.
If you are one of the people who purchased a WiFi Xoom from Costco less than 30 days, you should be able to get $100 thanks to Costco’s price adjustment policy. Make sure that you have your original receipt and be kind to the person who’s going to be handling your transaction. If it has been past 30 days, and they don’t want to give you the difference back, you can always return and rebuy; Costco has a 90-day return policy on most items.
