Today is a great day if you have any of the LG G3 variants, well except for the T-Mobile model. XDA member ‘thecubed‘ and the Codefire team came up with a tool called Bump which is a tool that allows unlocking the G3’s bootloader using the famous custom recovery TWRP.
Before you start anything, make sure that your LG G3 is rooted and you know what you’re doing. If you’re not rooted, you can follow the Stump method which can be found here. The method requires using ADB and you, knowing how to use it. The way Bump works is by allowing you to flash a boot image or custom ROMs as long as they’re Bump’d (compatible with Bump). Codefire are currently working on making that happen as we’re writing this.
Most ROMs you’ll want to download will be pre-Bump’d, so as an end user there’s nothing you need to worry about.
The models included are the AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, F400 (Korean), D855 (International) , Bell (Canada) and others. The different versions of TWRP for each phones is listed here. For instructions on how to go on with exploit, head to XDA – don’t forget to support the devs!
