AT&T to roll out exchange program for water-damaged Galaxy S4 Active devices

When the Galaxy S4 Active was released. Many of its owners were excited to give its waterproof capabilities a try. Unfortunately, not all of them were successful. Many of them suffered from water damage which was not covered by either AT&T or Samsung’s warranties.

Thanks to a Phone Arena tipster, it looks like AT&T and Samsung are working on rolling out a one-time exchange program for customers who bought the Galaxy S4 Active from the carrier or one of its retail stores. So if your phone’s LDI aka Liquid Damage Indicator is positive, you are covered–body damages will not be covered folks.

Thanks to its IP67 certification, the S4 Active is capable of taking pictures and videos while submerged in 3 feet of water for 30 minutes. If you’re one of those customers and have been patient enough with AT&T, rest assured. The new exchange program should roll out soon. We’ll reach out to Samsung and report back.
