A brand new update is now being pushed to the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S5. It is not as big as the one the HTC One M8 has gotten but it still brings so much need fixes and enhancements. The size of the whole update is 142.8MB and should be a quick install. Here is the full changelog:

  • Security updates and patches
  • Application installation enhancements
  • Accidental emergency dial fixed on the lock screen
  • Several lower layer modem crashes and sluggishness improvement enhancements
  • E-mail UX enhancements
  • S-View cover error
  • Re-activation lock improvements

If you haven’t gotten the prompt to update your S5, you can manually try to get it by hitting Settings> About Device> Software Update> Check For Updates. AT&T says to verify if the build number is KOT49H G900AUCU2ANG3 and the kernel version is 3.4.0-2178781 after the installation. Have you gotten it yet?
