AT&T confirms that Gingerbread is coming to all of their post-paid 2011 phones

AT&T has just announced that their 2011 line up of post-paid Android phones are all going to get a Gingerbread update. The phones that were released in 2011 and are planned for a Gingerbread update include the HTC Inspire 4G, LG Phoenix, Motorola Atrix 4G, Pantech Crossover, Samsung Captivate, and Samsung Infuse 4G. The HTC Status is the first phone to launch on AT&T with Gingerbread.

The only dates for the updates that have been announced is that of the Atrix, which, according to AT&T, starts today. The HTC Inspire will then begin its Gingerbread update at some point in August. For the rest of the phones, no upgrade date has been announced.

In addition to getting Gingerbread, Atrix owners will be able to sideload applications after the update.
