Asus working on Padfone 2 with quad-core processor

Asus is currently working on the successor to its Padfone, the phone that docks into a tablet. According to a new AnTuTu Benchmark database listing, the ASus Padfone 2 will feature a 1.5GHz quad-core processor and is going to be called the Padfone 2. Powering the device will be Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich (although an upgrade to Jelly Bean before launch shouldn’t be surprising).

Unfortunately, we have no idea when we can expect Asus to release the Padfone 2 or for how much it will sell. We’ll keep you posted with more information as it becomes available.
