Android 4.0 update now rolling out to unlocked Galaxy S II in America

If you’re in the United States with an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S II, there might be a sweet surprise waiting for you on your phone. Reports of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich updates hitting the unlocked (unbranded) global version of the Galaxy S II situated in the United States are starting to roll in. The update, which is a whopping 216MB, will finally bring ICS to many people who bought a Galaxy S II and imported to the U.S.

So, if you own an unbranded, unlocked Galaxy S II in the United States, check your system by going to Settings > check for an update!
