Android 4.0 ICS update now available for the Sony XPERIA S on Three in the UK

If you’re a Three customer in the UK with the Sony Xperia S, there’s some good news for you. The Android 4.0 update is now available for your device. While it might not be the newly-announced Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, it’s better than the Gingerbread and it’s available for your device now. The Three ICS update for the Xperia S comes just days after Sony announced that the Android 4.0 update was being pushed out to Xperia S devices.

Unfortunately, the update is only available via the PC Companion; no OTA this time around. You won’t be getting any update notifications or anything like that. If you haven’t already, you can download PC Companion directly from Sony’s website.

If/when you upgrade, let us know how the process went by leaving a comment below.
