Amazon schedules press event for September 6. Will they be announcing a new Kindle Fire?

Mark your calendars, folks. On September 6, Amazon will be announcing something big. The company has sent out invites to members of the press for the event. Unfortunately, the invite doesn’t hint at what is going to be announced. Most-likely, Amazon will be announcing the successor to their Kindle Fire tablet. There’s also a possibility that Amazon could be announcing a smartphone to go along with its Kindle Fire.

If Amazon does go ahead and announce a successor to the Kindle Fire, you can expect it to have better hardware than the current Kindle Fire. Current Kindle Fire owners have complained about a lack of external storage, GPS, and camera, amongst other things.

September 6 is not far away. Mark your calendars, folks! We’ll be sure to bring you the news when it’s made available on the day.
