Amazon launches the Amazon Appstore in Europe; now available in the UK, France, Germany, Spain, and Italy

If you’re a Android user in the certain parts of Europe that has been patiently for Amazon to bring its Appstore to your country, there’s some good news for you. Today, Amazon announced that its Appstore was now available in certain parts of Europe, specifically the UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain.

With the Appstore now available in those countries, users can now visit www.amazon.com/getappstore to download the Appstore app on their Android phone or tablet.

News of the Amazon Appstore making its way to Europe comes just a week before Amazon’s September 6 press event where they are expected to announce the successor to the Kindle Fire. It also comes on the same day that Amazon announced that it had sold out of the Kindle Fire.
