Acer announces the Iconia Tab A200 tablet running Honeycomb

After appearing on a promo video earlier this week, Acer has finally made the Iconia Tab A200 tablet official. The Acer Iconia Tab A200 is powered by NVIDIA’s dual-core Tegra 2 processor at 1GHz. It features a 10.1-inch display, Android 3.2 Honeycomb, a full-size USB port, microSD slot, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, and more.

According to Acer, the company began shipping A200 tablets with Honeycomb in select countries back in November. Shipments with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will begin in January 2012 worldwide. At that time, a free Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade for Iconia Tab A200 users with Honeycomb will be provided.
