Although the Galaxy Tab 2 has been delayed until the end of April, we now have an idea of how much one of the models is going to cost. Major retailer Office Depot put up some pricing information for the 8GB 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab 2. According to the online listing, which has now been taken down, the 8GB Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) will sell for $399.99.
Yes, it’s only 8GB, but you know what? It’s not $600 or $700 either. If the pricing information put up by Office Depot is correct, then Samsung is definitely in the right direction. Consumers want tablets, but they don’t want to pay an arm and a leg to get one. A 10-inch tablet from Samsung for $400, that sounds like a good idea. If you’re hungry for additional storage, you can always get a 32GB microSD card for $20-$30.
There’s no word on how much the other models cost. We’ll be sure to bring you more information on the Galaxy Tab 2 as soon as it’s made available!
