$400 Samsung Galaxy A5 available in China for now


Folks in China can now purchase Samsung’s Galaxy A5 handset for ¥2,599.00 or $420 directly from the official Samsung China site. This handset was announced back in October alongside with the Galaxy A3. The A5 is looks similar to the Galaxy Alpha in terms of aesthetics. It has an all-metal frame and is aimed to attract the younger crowd.

Spec-wise, we’re looking at Android KitKat, 5-inch Super AMOLED 720p display, Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage with microSD expansion, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, LTE connectivity, dual SIM and a 2,300 mAh battery.

There is no word about a possible U.S. release of the Galaxy A5. However, Samsung says that it is coming to various markets soon.
