3 Millions Samsung Galaxy S II handsets pre-ordered worldwide, Samsung says

Apparently, the Samsung Galaxy S II is set to become a successful Samsung phone if not the most successful one for the  Korean Electronics manufacturer. As we are waiting for a US release, we reported the insane 200,000 pre-orders a week before it releases in Korea and then we also talked about how over 120,000 units have been sold within 3 days of its release in its home country.

Are you ready for this? Samsung claims that they have over 3 million Galaxy S II pre-orders worldwide from mobile carriers. This shows that Samsung’s CEO, J.S. Shin, sales projections for the Galaxy S II will soon be beaten as soon as the phone releases in large mobile markets such as the US and Canada. We are really excited to get our hands on this beast of a phone here at Droid Matters and we will definitely do a review about it in the near future. Here is a reminder about what the Samsung Galaxy S II will feature, in case you need to be reminded:

  • 4.3-inch Super AMOLED plus dipslay
  • 1.2GHz dual-core processor
  • 1GB of RAM
  • Android 2.3
  • 8-megapixel rear-facing camera
  • 2-megapixel front-facing camera
  • 8.49mm of thickness
