There you have it folks, the patent wars between Samsung and Apple are far from over. According to Korea Times, Samsung plans on suing Apple if their upcoming iPhone sports an LTE radio. We all know that LTE has become very popular with consumers in the US. Most of the newly released smartphones are LTE-capable. We’re sure that iPhone fans out there will be disappointed if the newest Apple phone doesn’t support this technology.
Samsung confirmed that it will immediately sue Apple if the latter releases products using advanced long-term evolution (LTE) mobile technology
A research firm called iRunway claims that the South Korean company owns10% of all LTE patents released so far. Apple decided to skip on using LTE in the iPhone 4S but used it in the not-so-popular new iPad. We expect Samsung to go full force against Apple. After all, they need to get their $1 billion back right?
