Google Maps Navigation now available in 20 new countries

I can’t count how many time Google Maps Navigation took my butt our of high traffic areas. I use it almost everyday to check how the roads are and to get to places. Over 20 new countries all across the globe will now take advantage of this cool feature.

Most of the countries added are in Africa and the few others are in Asia, the Caribbean and South America. Google Maps for Android gets updated with search history sync

Google has updated Google Maps to make it a little bit more useful and comprehensive. The new update syncs Google Maps search history throughout your devices. So now, when you search for something on your computer, the information that you searched for will also be available on your Android phone or tablet.

In order for the new search sync to work, you will need to make sure that you are signed into Google Maps and that you have web history enabled. Once you search for something on your Android device, you will automatically see suggestions for locations and directions that you previously searched for on your computer. \

Google Maps with Navigation now available in Egypt, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and other NEMA countries

If you live in the Middle Eastern and North Africa region, there might be some good news for you if you drive and have an Android-powered phone or tablet. Google has announced that Google Maps Navigation Beta was now available in some countries in the MENA region.

Google Maps for Android gets updated with transit improvements

If you’re a Google Maps user that uses public transportation, there’s some good news for you. Google has updated Google Maps to version 6.10, and with this update, brings lots of new features for those who use the popular app when using public transportation. With this update, Google has made changes to the Transit Lines layer of the app, and you will now be able to select a specific mode of public transportation to display on the map (while hiding other modes).
