Another day, another Android device discovered. It looks like HTC has another trick up their sleeves, this one named the HTC Runnymede. The HTC Runnymede will be one of the first phones to feature Beats Audio. Check out the specs of the HTC Runnymede below:
- Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread
- 1.5 GHz processor
- 4.7-inch display with 480×800 resolution
- 768MB RAM
- 16GB internal storage
- 8-megapixel rear camera with 720P recording capabilities
- 1.3-megapixel front camera
- Sense 3.5
- Less than 10mm thick
- Bundled Beats headphones
The processor, screen resolution, and ram aren’t all that impressive. What’s going to make the HTC Runnymede special is its camera and the fact that it will come with Beats headphones. According to Pocketnow, “The camera, for instance, is said to feature a backlit sensor plus 28mm wide-angle lens and focal ratio of f/2.2 (compared to the iPhone 4’s smaller f/2.8); in video mode, it can supposedly capture footage at 60 frames-per-second, more than twice that of the average handset”.
The phone should ship in time for the holidays. There’s no word on exact release date or carriers at the moment. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
