Verizon’s online marketing lists the Samsung Galaxy Nexus for $199 on Black Friday

On Black Friday 2011, an ad for the highly anticipated Galaxy Nexus popped up on a lot of tech sites. The ad, which you can see above, lists the Samsung Galaxy Nexus for $199.99 with a new 2-year activation and data plan. Of course, the Galaxy Nexus isn’t available, yet, on Verizon Wireless. This ad raises a lot of questions:

  1. Will the phone be selling for $199.99 when it launches?
  2. Was the advertised price the Black Friday deal, and will the phone still sell for $299.99 at launch?
  3. Could this be the price of the 16GB model?

At this point, nobody knows because the ad doesn’t give many details. What we do know for sure is that the phone is still not available on Verizon Wireless, and a launch date still hasn’t been announced. It would be really nice if the phone launched for $199.99 instead of the usual $299.99 that Verizon charges for their high-end 4G LTE phones.

I guess we’ll just have to wait until the December 8 release date turns out to be correct.
