Verizon Motorola Xoom owners are going to be happy campers today because Google just announced at the I/O convention that their tablets will get the latest version of Honeycomb, Android 3.1.
Here are the key updates that comes with the new Android 3.1:
- Enhanced keyboards, mice and trackpads
- Dedicated gaming controllers
- Improved multitasking support to reduce crashes and bring more fluid transitions
- USB host
- Enhanced task switcher
- Resizable widgets
Google TV will also be getting some Android 3.1 love later on with a pushed OTA update which will add the Android Market support and allow third-party apps to be downloaded into Google TV devices.
