Toshiba shows off prototype 5.1, 7.7, and 13.3-inch tablets

In addition to the Excite X10 tablet, the world’s thinnest 10.1-inch tablet, Toshiba also showcased some prototype tablets that they are working on. There is no word on if or when these prototype tablets will be released. If they ever make it to market, we’re sure that many people will be very excited.

On display, under protective glass, Toshiba had a 5.1-inch, 7.7-inch, and 13.3-inch tablet available for everyone to see. Nothing is known about these tablets except for the fact that they’re all prototypes. The most interesting sizes were the 5.1 and 13.3 models.

According to the display, the 7.7 model has a Super AMOLED display. The 13.3-inch model is described as having a HD display.

Before you get all excited, remember that these are all prototypes and there’s no guarantee that they will ever make it to market. As a matter of fact, they might not even run Android. Who knows.

uh, wouldn’t a 5″ tablet be more akin to a phone? Samsung Galaxy Note has a 5.3″ screen and the Dell Streak had a 5″ screen…both of course are At&t phones
