Toshiba set to announce new ultra-thin Android tablet at IFA 2011

Toshiba’s current Honeycomb tablet, the Toshiba Thrive, has been out for less than 2 months, and the company already has plans to diversify their tablet selection.

According to Notebook Italia, Toshiba is set to announce a new Honeycomb tablet sometime during IFA 2011 in Berlin. According to Notebook Italia, the new Toshiba tablet is supposed to be an ultrathin tablet and it’s going to be nice competitor to Apple’s iPad and Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1.

The thin tablet from Toshiba is supposed to have a number of ports including microUSB, micro HDMI, microSD, and more. The tablet is supposed to have a nice and sleek design with a brushed metal finish on the back. No additional specs have been revealed, but you can expect it to run NVIDIA’s dual-core processor, have 1GB of RAM, and come with multiple storage options.

I guess we’ll find out during IFA 2011 in Berlin which starts on September 1.
