Toshiba’s super-thin Excite 10 LE tablet (yes, it has been renamed from Excite X10) will be available for consumers starting on March 6. Two models of the tablet will be available, a 16GB model for $529.99 and a 32GB model for $599.99. Both tablet will features a 10-inch 1280 x 800 display, dual cameras, a 1.2GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4430 processor, 1GB of RAM, and Android 3.2 Honeycomb (though Toshiba says the tablet will be upgradable to Android 4.0 ICS).
While it’s a little sad that it won’t ship with Android 4.0, what’s exciting about the Excite 10 LE is that it is one the thinnest tablets around. At only 7.7mm thick, it’s definitely a feature that many will find appealing.
