The next time you leave a comment about an app in the Google Play store, you may be hearing directly from the app developer. Today, Google announced that the ability for developers to reply to users comments in the Play Store was now live for some developers. Unfortunately, not all developers will be able to utilize this feature right away. The feature will first be rolled out to developers with the Top Developer Badge (). It will then be offered to other developers at some point in the future.
A lot of developers (and users) have been requesting this feature, and it’s nice that it’s finally available for some developers. With developers able to reply to comments, they will be able to better assist customers who are having issues with apps. At the same time, they will also be able to defend themselves from the annoying users who give unwarranted negative ratings.
So, the next time you leave a comment on a app from the Google Play store, you might be hearing back from the developers!
