Looks like the Lenovo K800 isn’t going to be the first Intel-powered smartphone. Instead, Intel has announced that the Lava Xolo X900 will be the first Intel-powered Android phone. The launch of the Xolo X900 confirms the CEO’s report that the first Intel phone was launching this week.
The Lava Xolo X900 features a 1.6GHz single-core Atom processor, a dedicated 400MHz graphics core, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, NFC, a1024 x 600 WSVGA LCD display, a front-facing camera and an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera. The phone will ship with Android 2.3 Gingerbread with a promised OTA update to Android 4.0 in the near future.
The Lava Xolo X900 will be available in India on April 23 and will sell for INR 22,000, or around $425 without a contract.
