If you thought that Staple was going to stop discounting the Nexus 7, you were wrong. This past Sunday, the retailer was selling the tablet for as low as $199 for the 32GB model and $179 for the 16GB one. Today, it has gone even further and dropped the prices to $169 and $149 for the 32 and 16 Gigabyte models respectively. This is the lowest price we have seen the Nexus 7 go for. If you head to the Play Store, it will cost about between $50 to $80 more in addition to the additional shipping charges.

What this means for us Android enthusiasts is that Google is probably getting ready to launch their next generation of the Nexus 7. Some reports out there are already claiming that we should hear something this month, and that the slate may come with LTE radios along with a Snapdragon S4 quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM. This deal is so tempting but I must resist.

To get the discount, you have to enter code 20098 during the checkout process.
