According to BGR, Sprint is going to officially announce its plans to rollout their new 4G LTE network to its customers using LightSquared towers. We all knew that this was coming especially after both Sprint and Philip Falcone’s company have signed a said-to-be $20 billion 15-year deal last month.
Sprint is definitely feeling the heat of competition from Verizon’s fast growing LTE network and AT&T/T-Mobile merger. Big Yellow has been loosing customers due to poor coverage and to bad business planning after they decided to drop Clearwire as their 4G WiMax network provider. According to the same source, Sprint is going to make an announcement on July 28th.
