A tweet from @Motorola today killed all the hopes of folks who are looking forward to buying the Sprint New Moto X. We’re not sure about the reasons behind this decision and we’ll be reaching out to Motorola and Sprint to seek answers.
Sprint, as a carrier, isn’t really doing that well. Especially when compared with how T-Mobile is doing right now. Perhaps, Motorola didn’t see it as a profitable outlet for its products. This probably explains why they gave AT&T and Verizon first dibs to the new Moto X. They’re also generating enough business through their website with unlocked devices and the Moto Maker, that they don’t need to make a Sprint variant.
Sprint customers who are Motorola fans are probably not happy with this decision. We’re hoping to see Big Yellow or Moto change their mind.
