The Galaxy Note and the Galaxy Tab 7.7 weren’t the only things that Samsung announced today during their IFA press conference in Berlin. They also announced a new version of their personal music player, the Galaxy WiFi 3.6.
The Galaxy WiFi 3.6 is a personal music player with a 3.65-inch HVGA lcd touchscreen (sorry, no Super AMOLED Plus for you on this one), front and rear-facing cameras, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, TouchWiz, a 1GHz OMAP processor, microSD slot, GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, and more. The Galaxy WiFi 3.6 will come in two flavors: 8GB and 16GB. It will launch in the UK sometime in October.
The 8GB model is going to sell for £149 and the 16GB model will sell for slightly more at £169. There’s no telling if/when this personal media player will be available in the United States.
It’s a nice alternative to the popular iPod that does everything you love about Android, except make calls.
