This is really great for all of you who were waiting to hear if the Samsung Galaxy S II is coming to AT&T this year. We have some good news for you, it looks like the Galaxy S II has just landed in the FCC files and got approved for the GSM 850/1900 MHz and the WCDMA II and V bands which are meant to work with AT&T’s 3G network.
These news coincide with the Samsung and AT&T event that is going be held in New York today and the other other one planned for May 24th. I am hoping that it will get announced today though!! For all of you who needed a refresher about what this Samsung beast will be packing under the good, check this out:
- Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)
- 1.2GHz dual-core processor
- 4.3-inch SUPER AMOLED Plus display
- 1GB of RAM
- 16GB of internal storage (up to 32GB)
- 8-megapixel rear-facing with full HD 1080p recording and playback
- 1650mAH battery
We are still waiting for details from Samsung about a release date as well as about pricing but it doesn’t look like we will have to wait any longer for the Samsung Galaxy S II since the FCC has already given it its blessings, and just in case you can’t want to wait, you can get a Galaxy S II for around $825 on Amazon UK.
