The Samsung Galaxy Note, the hybrid between a phone and tablet has been enjoyed by many overseas. During CES 2012, we learned that the Galaxy Note was finally heading to the U.S. via AT&T’s network. Unfortunately, the news of the Galaxy Note landing on AT&T left many Verizon Wireless and Sprint subscribers wishing their carrier also offered the device.
Sprint and Verizon Wireless subscribers might have something to smile about because according to industry Paul Mueller, the Samsung Galaxy Note is heading to both carriers sometime before mid-year. In addition to the Note landing on VZW and Sprint, Paul Mueller is also saying that the phone will be called the Galaxy Journal when it lands on the two networks.
Before you get all excited, remember that this is just a rumor and that there’s no evidence to support it at the moment; we haven’t seen any type of proof in the form of leaked images anywhere that suggests that the Note will be going to Sprint or Verizon. On top of that, we have to remember that Paul Mueller is the same guy who predicted that Verizon Wireless was going to be the first to get the Samsung Galaxy S SII and that it was going to launch on August 12 as the Samsung Function. Maybe he was right, and then something called the Galaxy Nexus happened; maybe he really was off. We don’t know.
What we do know is that many people are interested in the Galaxy Note and its huge 5.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, 1.4GHz dual-core processor, stylus, and more. Hopefully, Mr. Mueller’s rumor becomes reality this time around.
