Along with not having a dedicated camera launcher button, the Nexus 7 home screen does not rotate. Thankfully, the Android community is always hard at work finding solutions for us to enjoy our gadgets.
If you’re not into rooting/hacking your devices, there is an easy way for you guys to activate the screen rotation feature on your Nexus tablet. All you have to do is download an app called Ultimate Rotation Control. This is what you can do if you don’t like to be in portrait mode:
- Download the Ultimate Rotation Control application from Google Play. It is offered as a 7-day trial with an option to purchase a license for $2.99 at the end of it.
- Once the app is installed, pull down the notification panel and simply click on the icon that has the ‘F’ letter on it.
That’s all you have to do folks, you will now be able to rotate your display. If you’re having trouble putting some applications such as Flipboard onto the landscape mode, you will have to open them, drop the notifications drawer and then click on the Force Rotate button. Let us know how this works out for you.
