Google announced Android Wear today. With that, they also unveiled two smartwatches, the Galaxy Gear Live and G Watch that will run on the new OS and said that they will available to buy later on today. Without further due, you can now head to Google Play Store and grab either.
The Gear Live is pretty much the stepsister of the Galaxy Gear 2 except for the camera and Tizen OS. The price isn’t bad either. It is being offered for $199.99 which is a very attractive price. Spec-wise, the Samsung watch sports a 1.63″ Super Amoled display (320 x 320), 1.2GHz processor, 4GB of internal storage, 512MB of RAM, Bluetooth 4.0 LE (Low Energy) and a 300 mAh battery.
The LG G Watch, on the other hand, is selling for $229.99, $30 higher than the Gear Live. It sporst a 1.65″ IPS display (280 x 280), 1.2GHz processor, 4GB of internal storage, 512MB of RAM, 9 Axis sensors, Bluetooth 4.0 and a 400 mAh battery.
Both smartwatches will be compatible with devices running Android 4.3 or higher. All you have to do is do download the Android Wear app from the Play Store and pair them with your phone.
The Galaxy Gear Live will start shipping on July 8 while LG G Watch is set to ship on July 3. Which one will you be getting?
