Announced yesterday, the Fire Phone has been the center of attention of the tech community. So far, there have been mixed reviews about the device’s price point and the AT&T exclusivity. We have yet to spend some time with it. So we’ll keep our thoughts for ourselves for now.
In terms of features, the Fire Phone is a very good handset when compared to the competition. It packs a 4.7-inch HD LCD display, 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), 2.1MP front camera, 32/64GB internal storage options, Fire OS 3.5.0 and a 2,800 mAh battery.
In the package, you will get the Fire Phone, premium headphones with remote and mic, micro USB to USB cable, 5-Watt power adapter and the startup guide.
Amazon is currently offering the Fire Phone for $199 for the 32GB variant, and $299 for the 64GB one, both on contract. To sweeten things, they are giving away a free year of Prime membership ($99 value). If you already are a member, they will extend your membership by a year.
