Official Google Docs app for Android now available

A lot of people have been waiting for this, and it’s finally here! The official Google Docs app for Android is now available in the Android Market. You can now create, edit, upload, and share your docs straight from your Android powered device. The app allows you to pretty much do everything that Google Docs allows, even printing (if you have Cloud Print configured).

The Docs app allows you to upload content directly from your phone to your Google Docs account. The coolest feature is the ability to take a picture of a document and have the Google Docs app automatically convert it to a editable document. At the moment, the app does a good job at capturing unformatted text that’s in English. Handwriting and, certain fonts, and other languages are not supported at the moment. Hopefully, with some time and updates, more features will be added.
