Verizon and Motorola have released an update for the Motorola Xyboard 8.2 and Xyboard 10.1 tablets. The update brings a number of improvements to the device, as well global roaming support. According to the changelog, the updates are pretty much identical, with the exception of one little thing: the Xyboard 10.1′s update also includes Stylus enhancements.
With global roaming enabled, the Xyboard tablets will be able to roam on compatible 3G/4G networks throughout the world. Before global roaming is fully enabled on the Xyboards, a second update will be pushed out to the device within two weeks. The second update will update the SIM card, making ready for global roaming. If you do happen to be going to an area where you can roam on LTE, don’t forget that Verizon will charge you a lot!
