Motorola to bring Ice Cream Sandwich to the RAZR, RAZR MAXX soon

Last week, Motorola informed soak-testers to prepare their Droid RAZR and RAZR MAXX devices for an upcoming bug-fixing update (6.12.181). Today, they reached out to them again to let them know that it was cancelled and that another soak test will be rolled out soon bringing ICS to the two RAZR phones. This is probably the best news we’ve heard from Motorola in a while.

Remember that you have to be a member of the Motorola Feedback Network (MNF) in order to have first dibs at the Android 4.0. Matt, a Motorola Support forum manager, was too quick to give the good news to the forum users:

Looks like we got a surprise people. This regular soak test has now turned into an official soak test for Android 4.0 also known as Ice Cream Sandwich. Please subscribe to this feed for updates and more information will be posted as soon as possible.

Thanks guys for hanging in there.

The comment above was quickly removed which means that the Android 4.0 update is on its way very soon. who’s excited?
