Motorola Droid Bionic now free at Verizon Wireless, no longer listed on DroidDoes.com

If you were looking to get yourself a Motorola Droid Bionic, now might be the time to go ahead and get it. The phone, which previously sold for $50 on a new 2-year contract, is now free for new accounts and upgrades. This latest move by Verizon is a clear indication that Verizon is about done with the phone and is getting ready to stop selling it.

In addition to the phone now being offered free of charge, the Droid Bionic has also been removed from the DroidDoes.com website, another clear sign that the phone has reached its end of life.

So now that the Droid Bionic is reaching its end of life at Verizon, which device will take its place? At the moment, the Motorola Droid RAZR HD seems to be be the best candidate. The RAZR HD will feature specs similar to the RAZR, except that it will have an HD display and will come with Android 4.0 ICS.

If you’ve wanted to get a Droid Bionic, now is the time to do so. If not, hang in there; bigger and better things are coming in its place!
