Motorola Defy XT and Electrify 2 heading to U.S. Cellular

U.S. Cellular is about to increase its Android lineup by 2. Today, the company announced that it will soon be offering two more Android handsets, with one of them being available today. Starting today, the Motorola Electrify 2 will be available to U.S. Cellular customers, with the Motorola DEFY XT being available on August 3.

The Motorola Electrify 2 features a 4.3-inch display, thin 8.4mm profile, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, front and rear-facing cameras, and much more. The Electrify 2 is currently available on U.S. Cellular’s site for $179 after a $100 rebate (on a 2-year contract).

The Motorola Defy XT is a rugged phone that is both water-resistant and dustproof. It features a 3.7-inch scratch-resistant display and a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera. Unfortunately, it will be launching with Android 2.3 Gingerbread instead of ICS.

The DEFY XY will be available on August 3 and will sell for $99 after a $100 rebate.
