New iFixit app lets you view repair manuals and tear downs from your Android device

The next time you use iFixit to repair something, you won’t need to be doing it near your computer or laptop, you will be able to do it with your phone (or tablet) as your instruction manual. iFixit has released their official app for Android, something that many people have been waiting for.

The app allows you to carry the vast amount of iFixit tear downs and repair manuals where ever you go. Right off the bat, the new app is compatible with both tablets and phones, and works on devices running Android 2.2 (Froyo) up to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean!

If you regularly use iFixit, it’s a good idea to head over to the Google Play store now to download this new great app. If you’re a developer, the iFixit source code for the Android app is available for your play with at github.com/iFixit/iFixitAndroid.
