I know that this isn’t Android-related, but it’s something I thought that you guys would enjoy. Take a look at Samsung’s Transparent Smart Window. It is a window made out of Samsung’s Transparent LCD..that’s right, a transparent LCD! I didn’t think that I was ever going to see this type of technology in my lifetime, but Samsung changed when they pulled off this trick!
In the demonstration, the Transparent LCD is being used as a window. With the Transparent Smart Window, you have access to tons on information, right on your window. You’ll soon be able to have your window display all types of information! Although the transparent LCD is used as a window in this demonstration, it has the possibility to be used in many different ways.
Once they release these transparent LCDs, I wouldn’t be surprised if OEMs used Android on them. I’m really excited in the direction Samsung is going. Now, all the things that Corning detailed in their “A Day Made of Glass” video could soon become reality. Check out the Corning video below and let us know what you think!
