According to Reuters, HTC Corp. sued Apple in the U.S. district court in Delaware for infringing three of its patents concerning the sale of iPads, iPhones and Mac computers. The Taiwanese company is also seeking compensatory damages for willful infringement. This isn’t the first time HTC and Apple have met in courts. Not too long ago, a judge in the International Trade Commission has ruled the Taiwanese phone maker guilty of patent infringement. HTC responded that they will “vigorously fight these two remaining patents through an appeal before the ITC commissioners who make the final decision.”The irony in this lawsuit is it happens right after Google bought Motorola for $12.5 billion yesterday, does anyone think that it has anything to do with it?
