Verizon announced today that they will be releasing the HTC Desire 612 on October 12. This phone is pretty much like the AT&T HTC Desire 610, a budget Android phone. It may sell for about $200 without a contract. Don’t let this price fool you though. This is nice phone especially if you’re on tight budget.
Spec-wise, the HTC Desire 612 packs a 4.7-inch qHD display, 1GB of RAM, 1.2Hz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 8GB of internal storage with microSD slot (up to 128GB), 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front camera, Android 4.4 KitKat and a 2,040 mAh battery.
Although we do not recommend it, the XLTE-ready HTC phone will also be available for free on contract. Eligible customers can take advantage of Verizon Edge to make monthly payments.
