If you have a PlayStation 4, you already know about Remote Play. If you don’t, it is a feature that Sony introduced a while ago allowing folks who have a PS Vita (or the upcoming Xperia Z3 product line) to remotely play a PS4 game on the portable console or device. We have a video below showing what this feature is all about. I love it!

Although being an exclusive feature to Sony device, Remote Play was ported to rooted Android devices running Android 4.0 or higher thanks to XDA member ‘XperiaPlaystation‘. Since you have to be rooted, you also have to have a custom recovery installed such as CWM which you will use to flash the provided zip (link below) and install an APK as a normal app. Folks who own an Xperia Z1 would have to modify their phone’s build.prop file.

I was able to flash the ZIP and APK successfully on my OnePlus One. I will report back when I get it to work with my PS4. You can also let us know if you get it to work. If you want to give it a shot, head to the XDA Forums (link below) and follow the instructions.
