Google’s Project Glass makes its way to New York Fashion Week

Project Glass, the ambitious augmented reality glasses by Google, made its way to New York Fashion Week. The glasses were used by models during Diane von Furstenberg’s show this Sunday in New York. While some might have wanted the Project Glass glasses to be used as fashion accessories, they were being used primarily to capture the behind the scenes aspect of the show by the models.

The pictures and videos recorded using the augmented reality glasses will be turned into a short film called DVF through Glass. The short film will offer a peak at designers and models preparing for and performing during the show from the first person perspective.

The final video will be released on September 13. In the meantime, you can head over to DVF’s Google Plus page to get a peek at some of the pictures that were captured with Project Glass.
